When it comes to whitetail hunting, Northwestern Ontario has quickly become known as an excellent destination for the hunter looking to harvest a nice trophy. Our whitetail not only have the ability to grow impressive racks their body size also impresses hunters.
Hunting Whitetails in this region is completely different than what most people think of being prime whitetail country. You won't be greeted with farm grazing deer sitting over a field. Our whitetails swim long distances on a regular basis, they climb steep ridges acting as travel corridors, thick bush helps them conceal themselves, and like every whitetail they have those great senses. These facts together make for a very worthy adversary and what we believe an awesome hunt.

Lake of the Woods Adventures offers quality guided hunts to hunters who choose to rifle, muzzleload, or bow hunt. For our rifle hunters we strictly use ground blinds which can be heated during those periods of sitting in the cold. Heated ground blinds allow hunters to stay comfortable and stay in the field longer. Our ground blinds are generally situated between bedding and feeding areas and we also take advantage of the natural funnels the deer must use to get around thicker areas. Our muzzleloader hunters have the same opportunity to utilize these blinds and as the season progresses it really helps when the cold weather comes and the rut starts.

Bow hunters also have an excellent chance of harvesting a trophy whitetail in our area. Thick brush mixed with big woods travel corridors gives our hunters an awesome opportunity to ambush a mature whitetail. We have numerous ladder stands set up for our guests as it allows us to deal with changing wind conditions. Our bow hunting sites just like our rifle and muzzle loader sites are areas that we have confidence in your success.
Our aggressive scouting throughout the year is what leads to our success and confidence in the hunts that we put on. We all know that an outfitter can't guarantee 100% success for a true trophy when fair chase hunting. What we can guarantee you though is the fact that you will recognize the effort and level of professionalism put into your hunt to harvest you a trophy whitetail. We limit our number of hunts and this guarantees you that you will be getting the best possible hunt for your money.
Our guides are true professionals and hardcore whitetail hunters themselves. Over the years many guests have now become friends and that is part of what makes a hunt with Lake of the Woods Adventures special. If you are looking for a fun and dedicated whitetail hunt than you have found an outfitter who can make that happen.
